This handcrafted mini arcade cabinet, nicknamed “La Makineta,” was designed from scratch with a mix of MDF wood, retro components, and a Raspberry Pi setup. It recreates the arcade experience in a tiny desktop-sized format while keeping the charm and character of a classic machine.
The cabinet combines physical craftsmanship with retro gaming hardware, bringing together buttons, joystick, custom decals and a carefully built structure in a compact design. Every element was chosen to capture the feel of a real arcade cabinet in a much smaller and more personal form.
More than just a gaming device, “La Makineta” also works as a nostalgic display piece. Its proportions, materials and illuminated details give it a warm retro presence that comes to life with every game and makes it stand out as both a functional object and a custom build.
